Motets from music manuscript N° 168 (Tours municipal library) & the Deslauriers manuscript
This is first season of Jeudis musicaux concerts at the Royal Chapel for Fabien Armengaud, the new director of the CMBV choir school. The programme is split into four bold original themes.
The themes shaping the 2021-2022 season are: Les Musiciens de Province, Paris-Versailles-Saint-Cyr, L’Europe baroque and Miroirs.
The year starts off with two hitherto unpublished grands motets by François Estienne Music Master at the Beaux-Arts Academy choir school in Lyon) followed by Bournonville and Cosset. Paris-Versailles-Saint-Cyr features grands motets by Lalande directed by Emmanuelle Haïm, conductor in residence, several petits motets by Morin and other gems. L’Europe baroque features Bach, Telemann, and Haydn and several English pieces with guest conductor Quintin Beer. The fourth theme, Miroirs, devised by choir school Assistant Director Clément Buonomo will offset Minoret and Poulenc, Brossard and Kverno, and Charpentier and Jansen. Finally, a stage production will take place in the Galerie des Batailles at Versailles based on two unpublished pastorales by Matho and Campra.

PRACTICAL INFORMATION
Admission is free and prior reservation is necessary (Priority seating for CMBV Cercle Rameau members).
Jeudis musicaux concerts take place every Thursday at 5.30 pm from October through June this year (except during school & public holidays) in the Royal Chapel or the Galerie des Batailles in the Palace of Versailles.
COVID PROTOCOL
- Door B will open at 4.45 pm to admit Cercle Rameau members and one (priority access) group. The general public will be admitted from 5 pm.
- Hands must be sanitized with hydro-alcoholic gel.
