On the occasion of the 2026 edition of Molière Month, the theatre and music festival organised by the City of Versailles, the Centre de musique baroque de Versailles is renewing its Harpsichord Day, dedicated this year to the viola da gamba, an instrument emblematic of the Baroque repertoire.
Recitals, concerts, exhibitions of rare instruments and introductory workshops every hour will punctuate the afternoon, in partnership with the Clavecin en France association. This event will highlight the subtle dialogue between harpsichords and the viola da gamba, featuring Hélène Diot, Iori Hayashi, Joël Keller and Dmytro Kokoshynskyy, four talented young harpsichordists who will be presenting their debut CD.
Works by D’Anglebert, Bach, Bull, Buxtehude, Byrd, Duphly, Froberger, Gibbons, Sweelinck and Tallis.
