On the occasion of the 2026 edition of Molière Month, the theatre and music festival organised by the City of Versailles, the Centre de musique baroque de Versailles is renewing its Harpsichord Day, dedicated this year to the viola da gamba, an instrument emblematic of the Baroque repertoire.
Concerts, CD presentations, exhibitions of rare instruments and hourly activities will punctuate the afternoon, in partnership with the Clavecin en France association. This event will highlight the subtle dialogue between harpsichords and violas da gamba, and will present the CMBV's new Découvertes collection, dedicated to the viola da gamba and illustrated in music by conservatoire students.
