In 2026, the CMBV choir school is offering the third edition of its ‘Chantons!’ programme, with weekly choral singing and theatre workshops for around sixty Year 2 and Year 3 pupils from La Source school in Versailles.
With the CMBV's dual expertise in choral singing instruction and cultural mediation, and thanks to the support of Crédit Agricole de Versailles, the CMBV choir school is expanding its training programme by offering weekly workshops at an elementary school in a suburb of Versailles (La Source school). These workshops are led by CMBV instructors and teachers, Sylvie Goueffon (singing) and Anne-Fanny Kessler (theatre) for two hours per week from January to May 2026.
These workshops are open to all Year 2 and Year 3 pupils at the school, who can, if they wish, take part in the recruitment process to join the music programme in Year 3 or Year 4 classes with flexible timetables. Pupils also take part in several activities at the CMBV: a participatory concert at the Chapelle Royale, a guided tour, a treasure hunt, a workshop to listen to and discover the baroque violin, joint rehearsals with the primary choir of the CMBV choir school, and a public performance.
The ‘Chantons!’ project has been supported since its creation in 2023 by the Versailles branch of Crédit Agricole d'Île-de-France.
