Le Temple de la Paix
Ballet excerpts
Jean-Baptiste Lully (1632-1687)
For Barocknacht, the annual event organised by the Mozarteum’s Early Music Department, the choir and orchestra perform a programme dedicated to Jean-Baptiste Lully, featuring Le Temple de la Paix and excerpts from his ballets. This concert marks the culmination of a season of exchanges with the Centre de musique baroque de Versailles, focusing on the transmission and interpretation of the French Baroque repertoire.
As part of its commitment to sharing repertoire and knowledge, the CMBV has developed a European partnership policy bringing together education, research and artistic practice. In Salzburg, its collaboration with the Mozarteum is built around exchanges between teachers, lectures, masterclasses and participation in joint artistic projects.
During the 2026–2027 season, Fabien Armengaud, Artistic and Musical Director of the CMBV Choir School, followed by Benoît Dratwicki, researcher and Artistic Director of the CMBV, will work with students from the Mozarteum’s Early Music Department. Barocknacht brings this work to the stage, with support from the CMBV, which is providing scores and several instruments from its instrument collection.
