In conjunction with the second ThéPARis research seminar, the CMBV is holding a workshop on stage effects (fly systems, stage hoists, etc.) with input from a cross-discipline research team.   

The topic pursues the investigation into practices shared among the different Paris theatres. Using the round table approach which proved popular at the first session in 2019 (‘ThéPARis – Overview & Perspectives’), this workshop will focus on a range of issues for joint discussion concerning scenes involving fly systems and, more broadly, above-stage apparatus. The participants will provide specialist input and a cross-discipline comparison will be used to address the different standpoints, venues and stage productions, with a view to building fruitful exchange.
