One Wednesday per month the Centre de musique baroque de Versailles holds two introductory music sessions for 0-3 year-olds and their parents in the Hôtel des Menus-Plaisirs. They constitute a precious moment together, sharing the discovery of sounds, nursery rhymes and illustrations!
Based on listening, gentleness and sharing, the Baby Baroque workshops invite toddlers (0–3 years old) and their parents to experience the Baroque repertoire and nursery rhymes through a sensitive approach. Throughout the sessions, children explore the sounds of the voice and instruments (piano, harpsichord and organ) in a musical and multisensory experience adapted to their age. Lasting 45 minutes, each workshop is followed by a period of free exploration. Led by Sylvie Goueffon, CMBV teacher, the workshops take place at the Hôtel des Menus-Plaisirs, with a different theme each month.
