So said Molière of this stage production which had been urgently created for the famous Vaux-le-Vicomte festivities run by Superintendent Fouquet.

The troupe Les Malins Plaisirs (directed by Vincent Tavernier), and Le Caravansérail (directed by Bertrand Cuiller) will revive this lighthearted drama in which a series of tedious characters  attempt to prevent young Eraste from joining his betrothed!

Vased on Beauchamps’ score published in 2022 by the CMBV, Le Caravansérail joins a dozen or so young artistes from the CMBV’s vocational training scheme Volez Zéphyrs!
