The ensemble La Rêveuse, in joint residency with the CMBV and Noirlac Abbey, has produced a major project on the subject of Time. Part one, entitled Tempus Fugit, will premiere in Noilac in conjunction with the Les Nouvelles Traversées festival.
Ballet de cour was an all-encompassing spectacle in the 17th century which included poetry, visual arts, music and dance. ‘Time’ was a popular theme, with numerous ballets based on the Seasons, 24 hours, etc.
Today, a dancer and four musicians set off on an imaginary voyage, crossing paths with Botticelli’s Primavera, Lully’s Ballet du Temps and dances from throughout history via music and video – in pursuit of what has always fascinated artists, this movement without movement which reflects the Stages of Life, the Seasons and the beauty of the Ephemeral.
