2021 saw the release of the album Jéliote, haute-contre de Rameau devised by Reinoud Van Mechelen in association with the CMBV, AMUZ and the Alpha record label. In the wake of Dumesny, this second part of the Trilogy can be enjoyed on tour. It received rave reviews from Diapason d'Or, etc.
Pierre Jéliote, Rameau’s favourite singer, is probably the most famous haute-contre ever. He is celebrated here, with selections from Rameau, Dauvergne, Colin de Blamont, Mondonville, Rebel, Francœur, Berton and La Borde sung by Reinoud Van Mechelen, one of today’s most remarkable voices. The concert is an extension of the tour that followed the album release in 2021. It will delight the ears and immerse audiences in French opera from the reign of Louis XV.
