A new Centre de musique baroque de Versailles project, the Académie de musique baroque de Versailles, is designed to bring together all those who play, study or simply love 17th & 18th century French music.
It welcomes student musicians from France and worldwide, professionals wishing to specialise in French repertoire, as well as Conservatoire students and amateur musicians. It sets out to act as a meeting point for everyone who plays or loves Lully, Rameau or Mondonville.
The Academy offers instrumental and vocal training by today’s top baroque, chamber music and orchestral musicians. A host of events are open to the public: conferences, masterclasses and recitals, as well as two major concerts held in the Royal Chapel at Versailles organised in conjunction with Château de Versailles Spectacles.
The French baroque music festival will take place from 6th - 11th July 2020, and it is looking to become an unmissable international yearly music event.
