Availability of Baroque Clarinets
The CMBV has had six historical French-style clarinets reconstructed by Agnès Guéroult (France) and Rudolf Tutz (Austria) for the revival of Jean-Philippe Rameau’s opera Achante et Céphise.
The CMBV offers professional and amateur ensembles the opportunity to hire these Baroque clarinets, which have the following specifications:
- 2 clarinets in C (at A=400Hz, with an additional body at A=415Hz) – made by Agnès Guéroult
- 2 clarinets in D (at A=400Hz, with an additional body at A=415Hz) – made by Agnès Guéroult
- 2 clarinets in A (at A=400Hz, with an additional body at A=415Hz) – made by Rudolf Tutz
The CMBV warmly thanks Mr Peter de Baets for his generous support in the recreation of the clarinets in the Baroque instrument collection.
