Alternating the grand organ and the choir was an essential part of liturgy in France during the Ancien Régime. Here, four female singers from the CMBV are led and accompanied by Fabien Armengaud and Nicolas Bucher (CMBV Managing Director and organist at Saint-Gervais church in Paris, in the footsteps of the Couperin). The performance is sure to bring new life to this musical practice with verve and flamboyance, the dialogues punctuated with improvisations. There are plenty surprises
in store!
