Jeudis musicaux concerts take place all year round in the magnificent Royal Chapel at the Palace of Versailles.
Once a week November through June, they give the public a chance to hear the CMBV choir school Les Pages & les Chantres, student organists from the Paris Conservatoire and student musicians from the School’s partner institutions, the PSPBB and the Regional Conservatoires of Versailles and Paris-Saclay, as well as numerous music ensembles and guest conservatoires, such as the Paris Regional Conservatoire.
Every concert offers a new programme: the 2019-2020 season has several related themes, including masterpieces from the first half of the 17th century (by Jacques Huyn, Guillaume Bouzignac, etc.), the aesthetic revival under the Regency (André Campra, Jean-Baptiste Morin, Nicolas Clérambault, Charles-Hubert Gervais, etc.), the sacred repertoire of the Renaissance and the recurrent theme of the Masses of Marc-Antoine Charpentier. Our talented young musicians give audiences a chance to (re)discover hidden gems of French and European music.
Jeudis musicaux concerts are held in the Royal Chapel or Galerie des Batailles at the Palace of Versailles every Thursday at 5.30 pm, November through June (except during school & public holidays).
Concerts last approximately one hour. Admission is free and subject to availability (prior reservation required for groups, Tel +33 (0)1 39 20 78 10). Priority seating reserved for CMBV Cercle Rameau members.
